I’d love to invite you to listen to a special song that’s very close to my heart—a personal rendition of the timeless hymn “Jesus Loves Me.”
During the Christmas season of 2009, I visited a retirement home in Liberty, TX, with my worship team from church. We had gone to share Christmas carols and joy with the residents. As soon as we walked in, we met an elderly woman standing by the beautifully lit Christmas tree in the lobby. With excitement, I told her, “We came to sing Christmas carols with you.”
She looked at me with gentle honesty and said, “I don’t remember any Christmas carols, but I remember ‘Jesus Loves Me.’”
That simple moment touched me deeply and became a testimony I’ve carried with me throughout my journey as a worship pastor. It reminded me that long after melodies fade and memories dim, the love of Jesus remains unforgettable.
Today, I’m honored to share my own rendition of this precious hymn—featuring my close friend, fellow worshiper, and sister in Christ, Katie Lawyer. Thank you, Katie, for lending your beautiful heart and voice.
I pray this version blesses you as much as it blessed me to produce.
