A Prayer For Worship Leaders

Heavenly Father!
Holy is Your Name! As your children, we are in eternally thankful for Your work at Calvary. You are our only Worship Leader! You are the object of our worship. Father, I lift up Your worship leaders in Your church.
Holy Father!

  • Bless them with an overwhelming desire to pursue the knowledge of Your love.
  • Bless them with a passionate hunger for Your Word and righteousness.
  • Bless them with spiritual wisdom.
  • Bless them with a reverent fear of You, Holy God!
  • Bless them with a deep, true love to be merciful.
  • Bless them with trials that strengthen their resolve to worship You and lead Your worshipers in spirit and truth.
  • Bless the work of their hands as they labor for Your Kingdom.
  • Bless them with the passion to sing and create new songs for Your glory.
  • Bless them with an awed respect in honor of tradition.
  • Bless them with an overflowing sense selflessness and humility.
  • You alone are worthy of our praise. You alone are worthy of honor, power and glory. You alone are God.
May they honor You with their lives. I lift this prayer in the name of Jesus Christ, Our King, Our Lord Forever and ever.
    Amen

    Jesus Commandments

    “Ask, Seek, and Knock”
“7 “Keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you.” (Matthew 7:7 NLT)
To me this verse defines “Effective Prayer.” Jesus is commanding us not to give up pursuing our communion with God. Paul even states “we are to pray without ceasing.” In other words, to have constant communion with God through Jesus Christ.

16 Rejoice always, 17 pray without ceasing, 18 give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.” (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 (ESV))

We may not get the answer we want, but if we fervently keep on pressing – we will have the answer we need. God is good! He does not withhold any of His goodness. He causes the rain to fall on the good and the bad, the righteous and the unrighteous. In His great love for us He gave us free will. We make choices that effect the Holy Spirit’s work in our lives. The more honest, the more generous, the more charitable, the more loving, gentle, kind and sacrificial our choices, the more freedom and power the Holy Spirit has to work in and through our lives.

    Deliver Us From Evil

    deliver usMatthew 5:43-45 (PHILLIPS)
43-45 “You have heard that it used to be said, ‘You shall love your neighbour’, and ‘hate your enemy’, but I tell you, Love your enemies, and pray for those who persecute you, so that you may be sons of your Heavenly Father. For he makes the sun rise upon evil men as well as good, and he sends his rain upon honest and dishonest men alike.

We serve a good God. He blesses us whether we are good or bad, active or still; in our work and in our play, in joy and in sorrow. Nothing we do can separate us from His abounding love and goodness. God is love and He is good!

Too may times we wrongly attribute the calamities we encounter on the will of God. We live in a broken world with the repercussions of sin bouncing off anything and everything. Without the supernatural protection of fervent prayer, we will suffer sin’s throws and pangs irregardless of its source.

Heavenly Father, “Deliver us from evil!” Amen.

    Prayer of Dependence

    Father God!
    We are dependent upon You
We are helpless and broken in spirit
We are desperate beggars for Your perfect provision
Only in You will we find true peace and comfort
Only in You we find love, mercy and grace
We come to Your throne of grace, not in our power, but by the authority of the blood of Your Son, our Savior, Jesus Christ
Whom You have given all power and authority over us
It is by power of His Name and through Him we petition for Your mercy to cleanse us of inequity
It is by power of His Name we ask for You to heal our wounds
It is by power of His Name we ask for Your peace to comfort us
It is by power of His Name we ask for wisdom to do the things we can do to testify to His glory
It is by power of His Name we ask for increased faith to trust You in and through all things
May we give you honor and glory through our valleys of despair and our mountain-tops of joy

    We praise You! Father God!
    We praise You! Holy Spirit!
We praise You! Jesus! Son of God! Savior of sinners!

In Jesus’ Wonderful Name we pray,
    Amen

    A Psalm of Worship

    O Lord! I cry out
When the enemy tempts me to despair
I reach for You and You alone
From none other will I find refuge, strength and comfort
You have given me breath for life
The sun, moon and stars for light
Sounds to learn and make music to praise You
The wind to know the touch of coolness
Rain and water to refresh my body and spirit
You provide good food to strengthen me
You provide our clothing for protection
    Everything about You is good.
    You are the Everlasting Father!
    You are forever faithful.
Everyday I will praise Your Name.
    Holy Father,
Forgive me for I am an unworthy servant.
Have mercy on me for I have wasted Your goodness on selfish desires.
Except for my sin, all that I had, all that I have, all that will have — has always been Yours.
My life is your gift. My wife is your gift. My children are gifts from You.
All the material things I possess are gifts from You.
O Lord! Teach me Your ways.
So I may be found faithful in returning Your many blessings invested and multiplied.
Bringing glory and honor to Your Name alone.
For only You are worthy of all honor, praise, and glory.
    Amen.
