‭‭Ezekiel‬ ‭36‬:‭26

“I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh.”
‭‭Ezekiel‬ ‭36‬:‭26‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Ezekiel 36 is a prophecy of restoration for Israel. God first speaks against the nations that mocked and plundered Israel, declaring judgment on them. He then turns to bless the land of Israel, promising it will be fruitful and filled with people once again. The chapter emphasizes that God will restore Israel not because they deserve it, but to uphold His holy name among the nations. He promises to gather His people from exile, cleanse them from sin, give them a new heart and spirit, and put His Spirit within them so they can walk in His ways. The desolate land will become like the Garden of Eden, and the nations will know that the Lord is faithful.

This verse is about God’s promise to replace spiritual deadness with true life, moving His people from stubbornness to obedience, from rebellion to love.

Heavenly Father, thank You for Your promise to make all things new within me. Remove every hardness from my heart, and give me a heart that is tender and responsive to Your voice. Fill me with Your Spirit so that my desires, thoughts, and actions bring You glory. Shape me into someone who loves what You love and walks faithfully in Your ways. Amen.

Give me a heart of flesh, soft and true
Lord, help me to love people like You do
Take my life make it shine with Your glory
So every song I sing praises Your story

James 3:13

“Who is wise and understanding among you? Let them show it by their good life, by deeds done in the humility that comes from wisdom.”
‭‭James‬ ‭3‬:‭13‬ ‭NIV‬‬

James 3 highlights two main themes: the need to control speech and the call to live by God’s wisdom rather than worldly desires. This verse teaches that true wisdom is not proven by words or claims but by a person’s actions and lifestyle. James emphasizes that wisdom from God is marked by humility, not arrogance. A wise person demonstrates their understanding through a life of good works, lived with gentleness and humility, reflecting God’s character rather than worldly pride.

Prayer:
“Lord, You are the source of all wisdom. Teach me to walk in humility and to show Your wisdom through my actions. Let my life reflect gentleness, kindness, and peace, so that others may see Your light in me. Keep pride far from my heart and clothe me in the humility that honors You. Amen.”

The true heart of wisdom comes from God
Not from from the world, friends or family that are flawed
Humble actions that reflect gentleness, kindness and peace
Sing in tune and rhythm with Heaven’s holy society

Sing To Jesus Always

Can a song sing the Name of “Jesus” too much? I believe it’s the song we need to sing every day of our lives. What is this life compared to the eternal life we have because of Jesus? 80 years? 120 years? In the scope of eternity, it’s just a brief moment. Let us always sing to Jesus with all our strength and with thanksgiving in our hearts, minds, and souls.

Nehemiah 10 – “Nehemiah said, Go and enjoy choice food and sweet drinks, and send some to those who have nothing prepared. This day is holy to our Lord. Do not grieve, for the joy of the Lord is your strength.”

Psalm 118:14 – “The LORD is my strength and song, and He has become my salvation.”

Romans 8:38-39 – “For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

Merry Christmas! Today, Christmas has many different meanings. I hope this song helps remind all of us that Jesus is the only reason for Christmas. May we never miss to thank God for His countless blessings right in front of us everyday. (i.e. Blue skies, sun, moon, stars, mountains, oceans, deserts, air (oxygen), health, food, clothing, and family.)

Integrity or Hypocrisy

You can not know one without understanding the other. Deep inside us there is a battle for dominance over our will. Satan’s temptations, the pressure of the world, and the weakness of our flesh are constant enemies to our soul. They urge us to assert ourselves and fight against our self control. Self indulgence? Instant gratification! Are they wrong? We need to eat, drink, sleep and other functions necessary to survive. Some might perceive that as selfishness, but they are necessary to live. However, it is when any of these obscure God’s glory in our lives that they become sin.

There is a time to be assertive and stand for righteousness. There is a time through the power of the Holy Spirit to be impatient and urgently respond. Most importantly, there is Jesus. He is the eternal object of our worship, our praise, the author of our love, the finisher of our faith. His holiness and grace calls us to be totally committed to Him and to His Kingdom. Through His grace and by the power of the Holy Spirit, let Christ’s identity be wholly yours! Be Christ-indulgent! Be Christ-esteemed! Be Christ-confident!

So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God. 1 Corinthians 10:31 (NIV)

Our spiritual life is not something that you clock in at 9 and punch out at 5. You are either all in or you are a hypocrite. You can not righteously council a brother or sister struggling with alcohol addiction in the morning and get drunk in the evening. You can not say pornography is evil and intentionally watch offensive, obscene and vulgar movies. You can not be angry with a person living in a homosexual lifestyle and have lust and promiscuity in your heart. Your integrity is nothing without the Truth evidenced in and through your life. People will trust you, if they know who you really are! It’s a lot easier to swallow advice from someone who says “I’m a struggling, sinner too!”

The Rhythm of Christianity

Each day every Christian struggles with sin. It is a progressive journey of overcoming the “acts of the flesh,” and allowing God’s Spirit to produce the “fruit of the Spirit.” Within this daily struggle there will be bouts with selfish desires. The world will interpret that as hypocritical, but it is inescapably the rhythm of Christian life. The dance of the Christian life may have a cadence like this: One step forward (repent), one slip back (sin). Two steps forward (repent, grow), one slip back (sin). Three steps forward (repent, grow, go!).

When we deny ourselves and read His Word regularly, when we deny ourselves and produce acts of kindness and mercy through His spirit, when we wake each morning with His praises as our first thought and when we lay down in communion with Him each evening — we grow in Christ.

It is not possible for a person to claim to be a Christian who actively and perpetually lives an unrepentant, sinful lifestyle. The world lives this lifestyle. As Christians, “We are called to be in it, but not of the world.” America is the greatest country in the world. It was founded by a Christian majority and structured on Christian beliefs. Sadly, we have lost sight of our nation’s heritage. Our prosperity has lulled our integrity and character to sleep. Now we live in a dream world of takers rather than givers, of dependents rather than contributors, of consumers rather than producers.

Jesus commanded, “Be holy as I am holy.” We are a “holy priesthood!” We are separate from the world. We are pinhole lights in a tapestry of darkness. We must surrender daily and allow God’s spirit to shine through us to call the lost world to the Light. Do not worry about people who will call you a “hypocrite!” The religious of Christ’s time called Jesus the same thing – then they crucified Him. It will be only by His mercy and through His grace, that we will be able to endure our cross as well.
