I hate lukewarm Christians. I\u2019d rather be in the company of the lost.<\/p>\n

In Psalm 5, David speaks about the type of man God hates.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Psalms 5:4-9 (from KJVR) <\/strong> <\/em><\/span><\/em><\/div>\n
For thou art not a God that hath pleasure in wickedness: neither shall evil dwell with thee.\u00a0The foolish shall not stand in thy sight: thou hatest all workers of iniquity.\u00a0Thou shalt destroy them that speak leasing: the LORD will abhor the bloody and deceitful man.\u00a0\u00a0But as for me, I will come into thy house in the multitude of thy mercy: and in thy fear will I worship toward thy holy temple.\u00a0Lead me, O LORD, in thy righteousness because of mine enemies; make thy way straight before my face.\u00a0For there is no faithfulness in their mouth; their inward part is very wickedness; their throat is an open sepulcher; they flatter with their tongue<\/em>.<\/span>

You don’t socialize with Wicked, or invite Evil over as your houseguest. Hot-Air-Boaster collapses in front of you; you shake your head over Mischief-Maker. \u00a0GOD destroys Lie-Speaker; Blood-Thirsty and Truth-Bender disgust you. \u00a0And here I am, your invited guest– it’s incredible! I enter your house; here I am, prostrate in your inner sanctum, Waiting for directions to get me safely through enemy lines. Every word they speak is a land mine; their lungs breathe out poison gas. Their throats are gaping graves, their tongues slick as mudslides.<\/span>
\n<\/em><\/strong>
\nJesus loved the Pharisees but hated their self-righteousness, their restrictedness, and their double standards. They knew the Law and used it to elevate themselves in the sight of man, rather than humble themselves in the sight of our Holy God \u2013 the One who gave us the Law. \u00a0Jesus makes it very clear concerning where \u201clukewarm Christians\u201d will spend eternity. Apathy, indifference, laziness, lethargy, slothfulness, indolence, unexcited, unresponsive, half-hearted are all words that are synonymous to \u201clukewarm.\u201d \u00a0\u00a0They are like vomit in the mouth of God. (Rev 3:16 \u00a0So, because you are lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of my mouth.)<\/p>\n

I know we hear this all the time, but where is it written in God\u2019s Word that He loves the Sinner as much as the humble, passionate, God-chasing believer? \u00a0John 3:16 says \u201cFor God so loved the world\u2026\u201d \u00a0God draws closer to those who seek Him with \u201call their heart.\u201d (Jer 29:13 \u00a0You will seek me, and you will find me because you will seek me with all your heart. 2Ch 15:2 \u00a0\u2026 The LORD is with you while you are with him. If you seek him, he will be found by you, but if you forsake him, he will forsake you.)<\/em> The world according to Isaiah 61 is the poor in spirit, the meek, the captives of sin, those made lame by sin, and the blind. The lost and the lukewarm are not the same.<\/p>\n

We have allowed the current culture of comfort, tolerance, and luxury to mislead our perception of the holiness of God. Many churches and false prophets have deceived us in believing in these compromises. Our God is Holy! He is Love! He is Truth! He is Just! He is unchanging! He is the same God who destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah and because of His unfailing love He will let you live a life without Him and choose the course to Hell. \u00a0Where do think the residents of Sodom are going to spend eternity?<\/p>\n

Christian integrity is a value that few people in Church have in today\u2019s world. We still compromise our worship and obedience to our Lord\u2019s commands due to fleshly desire, power and money. They are still our foremost temptations. \u00a0Satan mercilessly uses them to regain his fatherhood and control over us. Today\u2019s Christian integrity is what scars the beauty and purity of Christ. Bono, the lead singer of U2 said \u201cI left church because of lukewarm Christians.\u201d<\/p>\n

Our faith is best demonstrated by our actions. We need to stop pointing fingers and blaming others for our failures (like Adam and Eve), and take personal responsibility for our disobedience. We need to pray for revival. We need to start repenting and praising God for His gift of salvation through belief in Jesus Christ! \u00a0Humble yourselves before the Lord! Get on your face, get prostrate before the Lord \u2013 then get up and shout for joy then get face down again! \u00a0In your pursuit of Christ, you will find the comfort that you truly seek and need to live an abundant life. \u00a0You will find rest for your soul. You will realize that in our own strength we are frail and weak. We are poor reflections of His image and integrity. But when we faithfully love mercy, do justly, and walk humbly (Micah 6:8) we take on His image and we become the pure Bride of Christ.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
